Ken qualified from the University of Cape Town with BA LLB degrees and practised as an advocate at the Cape Bar in the 1980's. He has over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry and his name has been included in the International "Marquis Who's Who in Industry and Finance" publications. As well as being an Advocate and our CEO, he is an Associate of the Financial Planning Institute and the Association of Arbitrators of Southern Africa.

Shane is known to his clients as a financial coach who is determined to help them understand and relate to money in a way that makes life more meaningful. Shane started assisting clients with personal wealth creation at Silke Financial Services in 1998. He took up the offer of full partnership and the position of Managing Director in 2005.

Shane qualified with a Bachelor degree in Financial Management and National Diploma in Public Management and Administration. He furthered his education by pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning University of Stellenbosch and was awarded the prestigious, internationally recognised CFP® [Certified Financial Planner®] qualification in 2009.

Shane previously worked for the Department of Health in human resources management and financial administration. He utilizes his experience and specific skills to assist individuals to improve their relationship with money and further develop their financial skills. Besides being a husband and a dad he is also a registered personal tax practitioner and is accredited as a health care consultant.

The Silke Financial Services team has combined experience of 146 years in banking, investment, accounting, statistics and data analysis, marketing and IT management.
